Rebbo awoke alone, sitting atop a small pile of dirt, the lush vegitation surrounding him on all sides.
The ropes that held him earlier were lying nearby, the ropes had small, frayed notches in them, as though someone had tried to cut it, but had no thumbs to assist him.
He thought back..
And could not remember anything after he had made contact with the soft sand of the beach, when a giant white tentacle thing had saved his and the captain's life.
The captain!!
Rebbo suddenly remembered, and scanned the area for the captain. He wasn't there.
With slow movements, he stood up, and halfway through, he fell over backwards. There was still a rope tied around him!
There was only one rope, but it was tied around him in such a way that if he tried to stand up, it would pull taut and knock him over backwards. He looked over his shoulder to what it was tied to, thinking he might be able to loosen the knot.
But there was no knot.
Instead, the rope was leading directly into the ground.
Curious, Rebbo dug away at the dirt with his foot, and stopped when something MOVED under there.
The ground wobbled, and a Molys head popped out, and Rebbo got to look at one for the first time. The visible part sticking upwards as much as his first plastered flat onto the ground would.
Another way to describe it's head would be that "it looked like half of an elongated oval", or more bluntly, A perfectly smooth potato sticking out of the ground.
There were three facial features:
Two black beady eyes that appeared to convey emotion by changing shapes
A rather large pink nose that looked like an enlarge, oval jellybean protruded from it's face, and everything else was brown. The only other feature was a small scar a few centimeters from the left eye.
"Hello!" It said to Rebbo. "Im Jack!, What's your name?"
Rebbo was stunned for a second, but not for as long as the first time. "Rebbo.."
And the molys replied happily, "I'm a molys! I bet you havent seen one of us ever! We dont get too many humans on the island"
Jack reminded Rebbo of a kid wired on candy.
"Hey Jack... erm... could you take me to someone I could talk to about serious stuff?"
"OK!" Yelled Jack enthusiastically, and, apparently with strength incredible compared to size, pulled Rebbo's rope to the west, with Rebbo having nothing to do but follow
