After a few cups of something closely resembling mud, Scalt began to talk of how he got of the boat.
"It all began when they fell asleep" He explained to the remaining elders, for many had gotten tired and went to their homes and to bed.
"I knew that I would eventually be discovered, so I did the only thing I could have done:" Explained Scalt, gradually sinking lower into the ground as he talked, seeming either embarrassed or ashamed, noticed Rebbo.
"I, *gulp* left the dirt entirely"
Everybody knew that Scalt had left with a clump of dirt to sit in, it had only been done around FOUR times in history, all of them in dire situations.
Molys didn't go out of the ground, and they always told spooky stories of how the part under the ground was horrifyingly grotesque.
But of course, time was running short, and the story had to go on, so Scalt continued.
"I then climbed onto some nets and jumped off of the boat..."
Nobody, save for Rebbo, who cried out "You can swim!?!" was surprised. Molys could dig through dirt faster then they could run. Why not swim?
One of the nicer animals in the consul told Rebbo this information.
"And then, because in the water all of us are completely safe, I swam back to shore, and burrowed here immediately!"
Rebbo wondered why they were safe in the water, but a dark thought was swimming at the back of his mind, and he had to ask.
"Scalt!" Cried Rebbo out as Scalt was turning to leave
"Were there nets hanging off of the side of the boat? When you left?"
Scalt didn't seem to fear Rebbo as much as everybody else, and replied with a yes.
"Yes, they were hanging as far as I could see!"
Rebbo's face turned to a chalk white color.
"That means that they are getting ready to use them."
