The day has finally arrived! School supplies day!
To start off, I awoke somewhat early to go off with mom to go shopping for school supplies, which I quite enjoy doing every year.
To start off, we went over to the Dollar Tree, and began checking off items in our list. We only had to get half of what we would have gotten normally, as one of mom's wonderful friends helped us generously, getting various items on the list.
We got a variety of good deals there, crossing off most of the list remaining. Now only the stuff that wouldn't come easy at the Dollar Tree.
We then headed off to Goodwill, but not your average Goodwill, it is a truly awesome one, to get some new school clothes, and as I was the biggest one, I was able to get the most stuff, mainly just some jackets and a lot of awesome Hawaiian shirts, one of them pops made a big deal of, as it was too cool. Thomas didn't get much, as he got what I had before, and Kawena got just enough girl stuff to spruce up her collection of clothes.
We then traveled to Fred Meyers, and finished off the list of school supplies, just getting some felt pens and stuff like that.
Soon after coming home, we had a large problem, and one that I am afraid to say that was my fault. Here is the story:
When we left Goodwill, we got a really long coupon, and we needed it to get anything else. I asked to see it, as it was soo long, and mom told me not to loose it, and I said I wouldn't. I was careless though, and I placed it in the small door handle, And apparently it got flung out of it's hiding place when I opened my door, but I didn't notice...
So after getting all the stuff at Fred Meyers, we drove home, tried out all of the clothes, and were going to return about $25 worth of them, when we couldn't find the coupon!!!
I guessed where it might be, and we took a side stop into the parking lot, and mom was so relieved when I found it stuck in a bush right where it got flung out.
That's what happened, and why Thomas and I got a reward of some new Lego's at Target after we returned the clothes!
We came back home, and after I managed to get to show pops my Hawaiian shirts among the chaos of my siblings, I settled down and wrote this blog!
So, until next post,

Woodcraft gone a little overboard

Continuing my last post, I am here to tell you that I finally finished my rampage of cutting up random pieces of wood to create my own variety of toys.
I made a few specially designed sickles, a pair of strange knuckle-like things that slice instead of punch, a huge two handed sword in the image of the first one, a few wooden hearts as presents, and a whole lot of randomly shaped ones from the pieces that were left over!
(plus, my first pictures!)
Hope you enjoy-

Also, I will learn to format my pictures, eventually =(
A little arts and crafts training
I have recently been creating some creative projects, both to help me increase my skills and also to get some fresh air.
I have only made three things as of right now, yet I am planning two more for the next three days.
I have made a lego crossbow, partially off of ideas online, with a special touch I added to allow the bolt to shoot much farther with greater accuracy. Unluckily, my sister Kawena broke it... =(
I later built another crossbow from pencils, tape, a pen and a rubber band, but i think that Kawena got angry at me once and broke it as well, seeing as I can't find it. (She holds large grudges.)
Lastly and greatest so far, I got a piece of wood from Thomas and shaped it into a humongous sword, it goes up a bit past my waist, and after some sanding it looked perfect!
I am planning to make a wooden heart to be a present for a friend soon, as well as two small, curved really short swords that I keep reffering to as scythes, (even though they don't resemble a scythe in any way at all..) and I will post pictures of all of these inventions as soon as I finish these two.
I hope you enjoyed reading!

A bright new day
I awoke on this brisk, clear Saturday morning to the chirping of some lively birds.
It was late in the morning, and with school drawing near, I was going to have to wake up sooner. I enjoyed waking up late, it gave the whole day a nice, bright attractiveness. (By that, I am referring to the way a rabbit would feel when it is munching a nice, tasty stalk of lettuce with it's family without fear, rather then how a moth would ram it's head on a light bulb repeatedly.)
Today I started off by watching a few TV shows, as I normally do on Saturdays. Halfway through, mom served us a tasty breakfast of egg omelets stuffed with cheese, yum! (I apologize that there are no pictures yet, I hope to have that feature up and running soon.)
Soon afterward, I took a long break and read what I now consider as my favorite book, 'The Tale of the Swamp Rat' by Carter Crocker, which features around a very unusual hero. If anyone looked that book up, you might wonder if I just skipped through it, seeing as it had 225 pages. In fact, I read it cover to cover at around two pages per minute, as all my life I had read books instead of playing video games, and that had allowed me to develop a really fast reading pace.
Soon afterward, I played a game with Thomas, where we would imagine something and try to find something nearby that relates to it.
After that, it was time for Mom, Thomas and Kawena to leave to baby sit our friend Leoni. Kawena was so excited, she always likes Leoni, a very playful toddler.
Just minutes before they left, Pops found a cabinet on craigslist, and I offered to go as well.
After setting off and driving for a while, we got a little lost. We drove around for a while, and eventually found the place. The guy was pretty nice, and we managed to get the huge cabinet out of the condo within another half hour, taking the most time going down the stairs and cutting corners.
And soon after, we came home, talking about the great adventure we had.
I found some sandpaper, and began to sand down the big wooden sword I invented, until the corners were nice and smooth. Just after that, I sat down and happily began to write on this blog.
I hope you enjoyed reading, and until next time,

Foreward
Hi readers!
This post is just to tell you a little about me.
I am 12 years old, 13 on November second, and I'm short.
My mom is from the Philippines, (where my shortness must have come from,) and my pops was never the tallest. As a result, I'm short. (On the plus side, I'm smart though!)
I have an OK younger brother (Thomas, age 9) and an occasionally annoying little sister (Kawena, age 5). I also have a dog, Ahab, and we all share a pretty close bond.

Starting Anew
Welcome readers to my blog.
If you look down on the list of posts, you will see many failures in keeping a day to day blog. I am starting fresh, and hoping that this attempt will end up better then the last few.
This blog might not be really interesting for those of you who read my parents blog's, but I encourage you to tell your kids about this, and hope that they will read it.
I hope you all enjoy,
